Zalando Gift Card – General Terms and Conditions

Zalando gift cards are issued by Zalando Payments GmbH, an electronic money institution authorized in Germany. However, they do not constitute electronic money.

Zalando gift cards are considered unregulated value credits. This means they are not subject to supervision by the relevant regulatory authority and are not protected by the legal provisions that apply to electronic money. In particular, this means there is no right to a cash refund.

Zalando gift cards can be used on www.zalando.at and via the Zalando app for eligible products sold by Zalando SE or other sellers (Zalando partners).
Eligible products are those intended for personal appearance (e.g., clothing, footwear). More details at: zalando.at/faq/Gutscheine.

Zalando gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

Gift cards are valid for five (5) years from the date of purchase.
Cash payouts or reimbursements in case of loss or damage are not possible.

The maximum value of a single Zalando gift card is €200.
You can use multiple gift cards per purchase, up to a total of €200.
Any remaining balance will be available for future purchases.

The maximum total of Zalando gift cards you can use in a calendar month is €5,000.
The same €5,000 limit applies to the total value of gift cards you can associate with your customer account in a calendar month.

Activation of the Zalando gift card usually occurs within 24 hours after purchase.

Zalando gift cards must be used before completing the checkout and cannot be applied retroactively to an order already placed.

If you cancel your order or return items paid with a Zalando gift card, the corresponding amount will be refunded to the same gift card, which can then be reused for future purchases.
If you partially return an order paid with a gift card, the value will first be deducted from the eligible items you keep (that were paid with the gift card), and the remaining amount will be refunded via the other payment method used.
